Orientation in Year 1

On Monday, November 25th and Tuesday 26th the Preps visited Year 1 to become familiar with the classrooms and what to expect for 2014.  Prep H visited Miss Langron in 1P on Monday and Mrs James in 1J on Tuesday.

Assembly Presentation

On Friday, November 15th, Prep H presented an item on Assembly.  

Earlier in the term each child had made up their own Prayer of Thanks to God and illustrated it with a picture made from coloured sticky dots.  They were very effective.  

For Assembly the children presented their prayers and then sang a song titled 'I Give Thanks'.  All children did a lovely job speaking and singing in front of an audience and made the teachers very proud.

Month of the Rosary

As October is the Month of the Rosary we made our own Rosary Beads in Prep H.  The children all enjoyed this activity and they had to listen very carefully to instructions and follow them closely so as to put the right amount of beads on at a time.

When we had finished our Rosary Beads we were ready to use them in our Prayer Time.  We invited Mrs Preitz to join us for Morning Prayer and teach us the Joey Rosary.

Father's Day

On Thursday, August 29th, Prep H celebrated Father's Day with a Liturgy, Activities and a shared morning  tea with our fathers, grandfathers, uncles and other male role models.
